2010 Pinot Clair - White Pinot Noir

Domaine Carneros Pinot Clair is a white wine made from the black skinned Pinot Noir grape.

Due to the limited availability of this item, the maximum order quantity is 6.

Taste the purity of the stone fruit profile, feel the elegant texture of the juice fermented without the influence of skin tannin, and experience our Carneros terroir in a whole new way.

The nose is marked by exotic aromas that suggest a tropical theme. One encounters pineapple, and apricot, along with the signature golden hay, that we have come to expect in this blend. Also noted are aromas of Manuka honey and red delicious apples. The entry is sweet and round bolstered by the creamy texture coaxed out during the “batonnage” or lees stirring events. However, the firm acid insures a delightfully crisp finish.

Our Estate grown fruit is picked at night so the grapes arrive early at the winery (still cold!), for a gentle pressing so as not to extract any color from the skins. Small oak cooperage, along with stainless steel barrels, and a concrete egg shaped tank were all employed for fermentation and aging. Made from 100% Estate Grown Organic grapes - a limited production of 323 cases was bottled without fining or filtration (A tiny amount of natural sediment may be encountered).
