2019 Single Vineyard Brut 'Le Ciel Serein'

We are thrilled to showcase our Le Ciel Serein vineyard for our sixth Single Vineyard sparkling release. Starting with the 2014 vintage, we have selected fruit from a single vineyard each year that truly exemplifies its site, wholly, and vividly. We call it “Le Ciel Serein” and it just might be the most picturesque ranch in Carneros. This landmark site, memorialized as Bliss Hill, the background for Microsoft Windows XP, was selected for its rolling hills, diverse exposure, and exceptional soils. Developed between 2002 and 2004, it has been carefully planted to a wide variety of Pinot Noir clones and only a select couple blocks of Chardonnay. The 2019 vintage proved itself by delivering lush, aromatic, and mature flavor development of the UCD 17 - one of sparkling winemaker Zak’s all-time favorites Chardonnay clones.
