Domaine Carneros Pinot Clair is a white wine made from the black-skinned Pinot Noir grape. It is hard to believe that what started out just a few years ago as a wild experiment has turned into a Club favorite with a cult following.

This years edition features a 100% Pommard Clone Pinot Noir. Fermented with Montrachet yeast in a concrete egg and mostly neutral French oak barrels, a small proportion was fermented in new oak to lift its spice. Just 183 cases produced, available only at the winery. Proper storage for up to ten years will achieve haunting complexity and grace.
Beginning with subtle and elegant aromas of golden hay, Asian pear and Tahitian vanilla, the wine is round and juicy with notes of creme brulee, Meyer lemon and fine toffee. Inviting sip after delicious sip, the finish showcases the wine's pedigree through crisp, mouthwatering acidity.
