The 2017 uses the Pommard clone (50%) for the blend’s foundation. It marries well with the Dijon 667 (50%) which adds depth and structure. This wine exudes youthful exuberance and energy. It is delicious now, but one need not be overly optimistic to see the aging potential.

Leaping from the glass are notes of sassafras, rose petal, and boysenberry. The palate has a mouthwatering, juicy quality, with black raspberry, lingonberry, and plum clafouti backed up additional notes of baking spice. The blend enjoyed a full fifteen months of barrel age; 50% newly coopered French oak from Cadus and Francois-Frères.
